KNUT sends its sympathies to the Hillside Endarasha fire victims.

In the Kieni sub-sounty of Nyeri County, the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) has expressed its condolences for the 17 students who perished in the fire at Hillside Endarasha Academy.

The union secretary general, Collins Oyuu, also prayed for a speedy recovery in a statement issued today for the 14 students who suffered serious injuries and are currently receiving medical care at Mathari Mission and Nyeri County Referral Hospital.

“That we can lose our children due to such incidents nowadays is sad and terrible. We urge the public and the impacted families to maintain composure while pleading with the security apparatus to expeditiously investigate the incident to determine its source.

“We ask that the Lord rest the young ones’ souls in eternal peace and that He strengthens the impacted families during these trying times of loss. Indeed! stated Oyuu.
