
TSC releases the dates for senior teachers’ and deputies’ promotion interviews.
For senior teachers, senior masters, deputy head teachers, and principals, the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has set up a five-day promotion interview schedule.
This comes after the 5,690 teacher promotion slots’ application period ended at midnight on November 18.
Following the shortlisting of qualified candidates, it is now confirmed that the promotion interviews for school administrators will begin on Monday of next week.
The interviews will take place between Monday, November 25, and Friday, November 29, 2024. The administrators will compete for the 5,690 spots that TSC has advertised.
TSC has requested that teachers apply by November 18th for posts as headteacher, deputy headteacher, principle, and deputy principal.
Other promotion opportunities for non-administrators, also referred to as “classroom teachers,” will be advertised by the Commission in December.
Dr. Nancy Macharia, the CEO of the Commission, had alluded to widespread teacher promotions at the conclusion of this year.
TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia stated that the Commission has set aside Sh1 billion for teacher advancement this fiscal year while overseeing the KCSE 2024 tests.
